Hi - first post on the forum! Love the software and am keen to become an active community member and learn and discuss more on Live.
Now hears my questions...
1. I'm confident I haven't deleted the whole sample library as the Abelton Live folder on the Lacie HD still indicates 15GB size and the individual drum hits/instruments etc are in the folder - but all the actual loops cannot be found? Where exactly are the loops saved (this would be the default folder within install - as I haven't changed this after install/use?)
2. I wondered if there is a corrupt link for just the samples somehow/somewhere?
3. Worse case scenario is I reinstall all the sounds from the disc (I'm assuming this would solve the problem and I wouldn't have to reinstall actual program as well?!) - if I do this, am I correct in thinking that all the sounds are just in the Ableton Live sound folder (now on the Lacie HD) and I can safely delete this to remove all sounds (or are them additional one on the internal mac HD?) - then reinstall just sounds from disc?

Initially, I have a problem though. I'm running Live 7 on a MacBook with external Lacie rugged harddrive (which is where I store all samples and songs). A few days ago I went to open some previously made live sets and all the samples from Live (default loops with the software install from disc) are greyed out & cant be found - only my own additional vocal 'hit' samples appear from the hard-drive are found. I've done an automatic search for the loops and Live can not find them? I've doubled checked the file path and it's correct for the folder of 'Ableton Live Sounds' on my Lacie HD. I've tried changing the sounds location file to the user account internal mac location and back again - but still cannot find the loops. I've tried a manual search but also cannot seem to find the loops?
